Jackson's birthday was the day after we got back from NY. We all took the day off from work and school to recover from our travels and spend time with a special 1 year old.
A special birthday day supper....quesadillas.
Birthday cupcakes, of course. With plenty left over for Jackson to take to school to share with his friends the next day.

Things got a little messy.
But it was worth it.
Some whole milk to wash it all down. (Bye, bye $25/can formula!!!)

It was a pretty good one!
We only forgot one thing....gifts! 2 days later I remember to get out his present. Luckily, he didn't seem to mind.
